A suspicious package found in the Wilshire Boulevard offices that house radio station KNX has forced the evacuation of the building, reports the Mercury News.

The package was reported at about 9:00 a.m. today after being discovered in the lobby. Firefighters and police have been called in, and the bomb squad is expected to follow.

KPCC notes that the package was beeping, and that the station has turned the broadcast over to its sister station, KCBS radio in San Francisco.
