Kelly Thomas to be Cleared of Any Wrongdoing
In today's far too little, far too late news, Kelly Thomas, the homeless man who was fatally beaten by police officers last year in Fullerton, is expected to be cleared of any wrongdoing tomorrow.
That's right: Thomas is expected to be cleared of any wrongdoing. Here's why: Thomas was initially pursued by cops because he allegedly fit the description of someone who was breaking into cars in the area. Then, he was accused of resisting arrest, which the police who beat him and their lawyers have said led to the savagery that resulted in his death.
Now, Fullerton officials are prepared to state that Thomas did nothing wrong. They've been working with his father, Ron Thomas, on the exact wording of the statement.
