Any Way You Spell It: Julia Louis-Dreyfus Gets Walk of Fame Star
There was a last-minute scramble this morning to temporarily fix the latest addition to Hollywood's Walk of Fame, the star honoring actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus. When the slab was delivered to the site, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce realized the honoree's name was spelled wrong.
The flub: Julia Luis Dreyfus (missing the 'o' and the hyphen). CNN's Entertainment reporter snapped a pic with his phone, then placed a call to the Chamber.
By the time the cameras were snapping, and the comedic actress' celeb friends Larry David and Jason Alexander were making speeches, the mistake wasn't visible. A permanent fix is forthcoming, despite Louis-Dreyfus getting such a kick out of the error she asked them to keep it that way. No such luck. They chiseled out the "Luis" and gave it to her for a souvenir, though.
