Josh Duggar Confesses To Cheating And Watching Porn

Josh Duggar has publicly admitted to being unfaithful to his wife and having a secret porn addiction, while publicly championing marriage and family values.Duggar's admission of infidelity and porn watching comes fast on the heels of the release of hacked data from the Ashley Madison website that suggests the 27-year-old had two paid and active accounts. The website—created to help spouses find cheating partners—was recently hacked. The news comes just a few months after Josh Duggar—oldest son of the reality TV family from the now-cancelled TLC show 19 Kids and Counting— admitted to molesting his two sisters as a teen. When the names, email addresses and phone numbers of users were released earlier this week, Duggar's name and info appeared twice, according to Gawker. Duggar responded to the news about the leaked Ashley Madison data by posting a statement to the Duggar family website:

I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife. I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country I was hiding my own personal failures.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all the hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Josh Duggar

The Ashely Madison subscriptions that are supposedly linked to Duggar were active between February 2013 to June 2015. At the same time, however, Duggar was married and serving as executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group, that was founded to "champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society." That's a mission statement that's not exactly in line with the aims of Ashley Madison.

Gawker points to a credit card belonging to Joshua J. Duggar from the hacked data released online, which has a billing address matching the home owned by Duggar's grandmother, Mary, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The records show that the card was charged $986.76 for two different monthly Ashley Madison subscriptions from February 2013 to 2015. According to the data, Duggar was allegedly searching for someone that would meet the following criteria for an affair:

“Conventional Sex,” Experimenting with Sex Toys,” One-Night Stands,” “Open to Experimentation,” “Gentleness,” “Good With Your Hands,” Sensual Massage,” “Extended Foreplay/Teasing,” “Bubble Bath for 2,” “Likes to Give Oral Sex,” “Likes to Receive Oral Sex,” “Someone I Can Teach,” “Someone Who Can Teach Me,” “Kissing,” “Cuddling & Hugging,” “Sharing Fantasies,” “Sex Talk.”

The information also included a wide array of turn-ons listed in the pursuit of an extramarital partner:

“A Professional/Well Groomed,” “Stylish/Classy,” “Casual Jeans/T-shirt Type,” “Muscular/Fit Body,” ”Petite Figure,” “Tall Height,” “Short Height,” “Long Hair,””Short Hair,” “Girl Next Door,” “Naughty Girl,” “Sense of Humor,” “Imagination,” “Creative and Adventurous,” “Relaxed and Easy Going,” “Aggressive/Take Charge Nature,” “Confidence,” “Discretion/Secrecy,” “A Good Listener,” “Good Personal Hygiene,” “Average Sex Drive,” “High Sex Drive,” “Dislikes Routine,” “Has a Secret Love Nest,” “Disease Free,” “Drug Free,” and “Natural Breasts."

The data reveals that Duggar allegedly created the second account in July 2014, this one linked to his home in Oxon Hill, Maryland, where he spent time lobbying for the Family Research Council. According to Gawker, the birthday listed on the first account is February 3, 1988, though Duggar's actual birthday is March 3, 1988. Meanwhile the second account is listed as March 2, 1988. A clerical error, perhaps? The two accounts overlap by a period of a few months. The username of the first account was "Josh_the_man," while the second one went by the handle "ready4thisdc."

When the second Ashley Madison account was created, an initial fee of $250 was paid, which seems to have gone towards an "affair guarantee," which offers members their money back if they don't have an affair within three months.
