Man Mysteriously Goes Missing After Leaving The Echoplex [Updated]

Family members are searching for a 31-year-old man who vanished after a night out at the Echoplex last week. His car is still where he left it, six days later.
Jose David Jimenez was last seen last Thursday at 12:30 a.m. after he left the music venue in Echo Park, which was hosting a popular weekly reggae dance night, Dub Club. His cousin, Maria Calderon, told Los Feliz Ledger that Jimenez, who lives with his parents in Lincoln Heights, had driven his car to his friend's house that night, then left with them in another car to go to the Echoplex. However, his car is still parked at that same spot where he left it.
Though Jimenez is known to be a wanderer, doing things like staying at friends' houses overnight without giving his folks a heads up, his father said it wasn't like him to not call to check in, Calderon said. Calls to his cell phone have also been going straight to voicemail.
Family and friends have been putting up missing person flyers near the venue and started a Facebook page in hopes of finding him.
Jimenez is described as 5'11" tall and weighing at 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, and was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt and gray shorts. Anyone with information about his disappearance is urged to call LAPD Detective Ken Thomas at (213) 996-1807.
Update August 14, 12:15 p.m.: LAPD officer Jane Kim told LAist that Jimenez was found safe on Thursday and has been reunited with his family. On the Find Jose Jimenez Facebook page, this message was posted today:
On behalf of the Jimenez family we would like to thank everyone for their support. By the grace of God he was found last night. He is in need of medical attention and we ask that everyone give us time as he recuperates! God bless you all!
