Following in the alleged footsteps of one Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a man in Orange County has been arrested after being accused of raping a woman he hired to work as a housecleaner. The OC Register reports that Michael Delgado, 27, enlisted the cleaning services of a woman who is only being identified as "in her 40s" through an ad she posted on Craigslist. She later told authorities that she had been reluctant to clean for a single man, but agreed after Delgado insisted that he needed the work done before his father came to visit.

She alleges that he showed her past several security gates and into his apartment before sexually assaulting her for an hour. The police were contacted after he let her go and she flagged down a passer-by.

Fullerton police Sgt. Andrew Goodrich issued this statement to the public:

"We want to remind everyone that they need to be extremely cautious when meeting people they don't know at their homes," Goodrich said. "This incident reminds us just how vulnerable we can all be at times."

We would also like to issue our own word of caution, which is to remind everyone that they need to not rape.
