Hollywood and Fairfax Area Gets Wet and Wild After Four Water Mains Rupture [UPDATED]

Parts of Hollywood and the Fairfax district got soaked this morning after four water mains broke in the area, according to City News Service.
The first break happened at 1:36 a.m. at Bronson and La Mirada. The second happened at about 2:38 a.m. at W. 3rd St. and Fairfax. Number three took place at 5:00 a.m. on the 900 block of N. Croft., and at 5:30 a fourth main broke at Vista and Beverly.
LADWP said this morning that the breaks all had to do with an inspection last night, which takes the mains offline and causes fluctuations in pressure. If there are spots where the line is weak, it's particularly vulnerable to rupture.
UPDATE 9:31AM: According to LADWP, crews are actually working to fix six ruptured water mains. The remaining two are at the 6000 block of Waring Avenue and the 1100 block of N. McCadden Place.
