Grandma Arrested For DUI After She Drags One of Her Grandkids From Moving Car

A grandma in Lancaster was arrested for driving her three grandkids while drunk. The woman Marie Shipley, 55, had been driving her three grandsons, ages 7, 11 and 13, when they started arguing. She told them to shut up, and then they jumped out. Grandma stopped the car so they could get back in, but she started accelerating before they were all loaded into the car.
She ended up dragging one of her grandsons, but she was sober enough to stop the car when she heard him screaming in pain. Sheriff's started investigating the incident when the kid's mother showed up at the hospital with scrapes to his arms. It turned out grandma had been drinking beer.
Shipley is due in court today.
(And yes, this is different than that other incident when another Lancaster woman got into an accident while driving drunk with six kids in tow.)
