Good thing Carmageddon is over, or the carjacker who led police on a high-speed chase down the 405 may have had nowhere to go (and that would have been tragic). The suspect allegedly stole someone's car in West LA, which came complete with weed and a laptop, reports CBS LA. He then led police all the way to Los Alamitos, swerving onto the freeway's shoulder to avoid rush hour traffic and driving like a bat out of hell in an attempt to lose police.

He eventually surrendered just south of the 605.
