After about an hour, police arrested 31-year-old Waiverly Thomas of Colton. It's still not clear what prompted Thomas to shoot the woman, whose name hasn't been released, or what the pair's relationship is, if any. And, according to officers working on the case, the woman isn't cooperating with the investigation.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Daniel Larios at (310) 458-8937 or Sgt. Ira Rutan at (310) 458-8959.
