Merril Shindler of ZagatBuzz, the blog from the influential Zagat guide folks, has published his picks for the most-anticipated Los Angeles restaurant openings of this year.

Among the selections are Delphine, one of the eateries in the highly-anticipated W Hollywood hotel; Covell, a "locavore wine and suds bar" in Silver Lake; The Foundry's Eric Greenspan's Grilled Cheese; sweet treats and exotic flavors from the Rustic Canyon/Huckleberry Ice Cream Parlor; Loteria! Grill's Studio City location; a taste of Little Spain at the bustling Farmers Market; Kogi BBQ's brick-and-mortar; Rolling Stone's foray into dining at Hollywood & Highland (trainwreck alert?); and The Surly Goat, a "down-home brewpub with more than two dozen beers you've never heard of on draft."

Many of Shindler's picks are slated to open between late this month and early summer.
