The Best Juice Bars in Los Angeles

Congress has cut federal funding for public media — a $3.4 million loss for LAist. We count on readers like you to protect our nonprofit newsroom. Become a monthly member and sustain local journalism.

Few current food fads better reflect life in Los Angeles than juicing. With our bounty of readily available fresh and often organic produce, our perennial rep for being body-conscious, and our penchant for shelling out extra bucks for something trendy that can make us feel and look better, it's no wonder that juice bars and juice cleanses are all the rage in L.A. Here are our picks for the best in town.

CLOVER
One of the newest kids on the juicing block, Clover's well-balanced blends of fruits and veggies are cold pressed off site and bottled right away for sale inside this small Mid-City shop located adjacent to a yoga studio. With an emphasis on building community from the artwork on the walls from area galleries to the treats and accoutrement made by locals, and sourcing from California farmers, this shop is small but mighty. Grab a bottle or order up a smoothie post-workout or at snack time, or pick up a cleanse. Their namesake "The Clover" green blend is a standout; you can taste each delicious ingredient, including bright additions like cilantro and pear. Keep an eye out for the seasonal blend, and their hydrating water-based juices like the Black Chia Seed.

Clover is located at 342 S La Brea Avenue, Mid-City West, 90036 (323) 609-3903

MOON JUICE
While some may think Venetians are out of this world for indulging in the concoctions this pricier juice shop has, those who love it swear by it. Moon Juice offers 100% organic cold pressed fruit and veggie juices, and nut milks. In addition to their bottled raw and live pressed juices, they've got their Moon Milk bar where you can order up customized nut milks enhanced with nut butters, super foods, and other healthy additions. Customers love the service and savvy of the folks working the counter, too.

Moon Juice is located at 507 Rose Avenue, Venice, 90291 (310) 399-2929

PRESSED JUICERY
Pressed Juicery is slowly becoming the ubiquitous mega player when it comes to juicing in Los Angeles, thanks to its devoted drinkers and multiple locations. A broad catalog of blends are categorized by Greens, Roots, and Citrus, plus a roster of fruit blends and nut milks. The Citrus 4 (cucumber, pineapple, lemon, coconut water, and aloe vera) will cure your hangover, while Greens 3 (kale, spinach, romaine, parsley, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon, ginger) will get you energized. Indulge in a sweet nut milk, like the Vanilla Almond, for a treat. Pressed Juicery has 7 locations in SoCal, including in DTLA, Westwood, West Hollywood, Brentwood, and Studio City, and are coming this year to Beverly Hills.

LIQUID JUICE BAR
This family-owned organic juice bar is appreciated for their made-to-order juices and smoothies, but really treasured for their açai bowls. They will gladly make your juice as spicy as you like it thanks to ingredients like ginger or cayenne pepper.

Liquid Juice Bar is located at 8180 Melrose Avenue, Mid-City, 90048 (323) 300-8070

SUSTAIN JUICERY
Downtown's health conscious have been flocking to Sustain to keep up their juicing habits. A knowledgeable staff will get you your made-to-order fresh juice made with seasonal local produce (and perhaps some exotic imports). Bottled juices and cleanses are available, too. Sustain's menu includes Detoxifying juices, Wellness Cocktails (of the booze-free variety), shots, and whole fruit smoothies.

Real Raw Live Juice (Photo by Krista Simmons/LAist)
REAL RAW LIVE
As their name suggests, Real Raw Live focuses on raw and live foods for juicing, fasts, and cleanses. They are beloved for their raw smoothies in particular, like the Chocolate Alchemist and the Rawkstar, and also offer a wide selection of wellness shots.

Real Raw Live is located at 5913 W Franklin Avenue, Franklin Village, 90028 (323) 461-4545

BEVERLY HILLS JUICE
With a motto like "Raw Since 1975" you know this is a juice shop with longevity that means business. In addition to their pre-packaged beverages, the tiny storefront on Beverly Boulevard—which often has lines winding around the corner—also makes smoothies using their juices blended with frozen bananas and almonds or sunflower seeds. If you're a fan of sweet, try the juices with an apple base. If you're sick or just need an immune boost, go for one with lemon or ginger.

As Editor-in-Chief of our newsroom, I’m extremely proud of the work our top-notch journalists are doing here at LAist. We’re doing more hard-hitting watchdog journalism than ever before — powerful reporting on the economy, elections, climate and the homelessness crisis that is making a difference in your lives. At the same time, it’s never been more difficult to maintain a paywall-free, independent news source that informs, inspires, and engages everyone.

LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.

We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.

No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, press freedom is at the core of keeping our nation free and fair. And as the landscape of free press changes, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust, but the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news from our community.

Please take action today to support your trusted source for local news with a donation that makes sense for your budget.
