Taco Bell Testing A New Monster: Quesadilla With Flamin' Hot Fritos Dip
The brains behind Taco Bell are at it again. On the heels of creating stoner-geared treats like the Doritos Locos Tacos and the Waffle Taco, they're now testing in Bakersfield quesadillas that you get to dip in nacho cheese and broken pieces of Flamin' Hot Fritos chips. If you already got heartburn reading that, you might want to take your antacids for this part: the quesadilla wedges that you use a a dipping device are already filled with meat and three different kinds of cheeses, reported Brand Eating.
The dipping sauces come in two containers, so you can first dip the stuffed tortillas in the warm nacho cheese sauce and then in the spicy corn chip bits. It sounds like a lot of double-dipping work, but apparently the tagline for this dish is, "It's OK To Double Dip."
Taco Bell is calling their new Frankenstein creation "Quesadilla Double Dippers," according to Grub Street. They're only available for $1 at the Taco Bell joints in Bakersfield (although we're not quite sure why they decided that town as the sample group).
If for some reason you feel the need to make a road trip out to Bakersfield, we won't judge you.
