Shake Shack's Empire Will Soon Expand To Century City
Hot off the griddle from their West Coast debut in West Hollywood last week, Shake Shack looks to be unveiling another local outpost. The beloved New York-based purveyor of burgers, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard has just announced that they'll be opening another location, this time at the Westfield Century City mall. While the exact details of the opening are still in development, the company tells LAist that the location will open sometime in 2017.
According to Eater LA, the shack looks to be planned for the mall's upper dining deck.
This will be Shake Shake's fourth location in the L.A. area, and will follow the opening of the Glendale spot at The Americana at Brand scheduled for late 2016, and the downtown one at 808 Olive Street, which is estimated to open in early 2017.
Here's hoping that the new locations will also offer L.A.-specific options like the French dip-inspired Roadside Double and the Rainbow Connection concrete—which uses Cofax donuts and Sqirl jam—though perhaps with neighborhood-specific twists.
Shake Shack will be located at Westfield Century City, 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City.
