Curvaceous cookbook author and judge on ABC's show "The Taste" Nigella Lawson has reportedly left her husband after an incident where he was caught choking her on camera. Hubby and multimillionaire art collector Charles Saatchi, 70, claims the incident photographed by paparazzi was just a "playful tiff." But Scotland Yard isn't buying it, and Saatchi is currently under investigation.

The photos were taken while the couple was dining in London at a restaurant called Scott's.

Says US Weekly:

After the British celeb chef, 53, was photographed crying and looking distraught as Saatchi grabbed her throat during a contentious recent lunch, "she has left the family home with the children," her rep tells Us Weekly of the London-based Nigella Bites star, mom to Cosima and Bruno, her kids with late first husband John Diamond. Adds a source close to Lawson: "We do not know when she will return. They slept at a family friend's house last night."

Lawson, a sultry and very-much- loved food TV personality who also happens to adore L.A. eateries, has heard the outpour of support from her fans. One even came up with the brilliant idea that hot-headed celeb chefs
Gordon Ramsay and Anthony Bourdain should come to her defense.

If the Scotland Yard doesn't scare the pans off of Saatchi, Gordo sure will.
