Blogger Neighborhood Guides: Let Me Eat Cake (And Pie And Bread) in Echo Park
Nastassia Johnson is our city's de facto dessert girl, and she blogs about her sugary exploits on her site, Let Me Eat Cake. She's a native Angeleno, and grew up in the now-hip Echo Park area, meaning she has an insider's perspective on some of the area's unsung gems.
Johnson loves the nearby Historic Filipinotown area since it gives her ties to her roots, which she eventually turned into the city's first Filipino food truck called the Manila Machine. Though she is no longer connected to the business, she still has a soft spot for everything ube, and a penchant for a hot bag of fresh pan de sal.
In our first edition of the blogger neighborhood guides, she shares tips on where to find the best grub in the area, including, of course, the sweet stuff.
