Video: LeBron James Considers Second Career As Pizza Guy At Pasadena's Blaze
NBA star LeBron James recently dropped in to a local Blaze Pizza in Pasadena to learn the ropes behind the counter and take a few selfies (and fulfill a contract he has with the company!).
While in town last month with his team the Cleveland Caveliers, LeBron—under the alias "Ron"—lent a hand at the fast-fire pizza joint where he bewildered customers and considered the advice of co-workers to try playing basketball. In the newly released video promo, the 6'8" player brings in pizza boxes, recommends the spicy sauce to an awe-struck customer, and cracks a few jokes. He even gets mistaken for former Miami teammate Dwyane Wade, which James takes in stride, "I get that a lot."
The appearance is part of a nationwide campaign to promote the chain as their new spokesman. According to ESPN, James recently invested in nearly 10 restaurants across the country. LeBron also had a chance to hone his acting chops when he appeared in last year's comedy Trainwreck.
