Who needs a cronut when you can work with the pure deliciousness that is a donut? This is especially true when your canvas is Westwood's beloved Stan's Donuts, and what you're doing to up its awesomeness is use it for an ice cream sandwich. That's exactly what they're doing at Umami Burger.

Okay, so we might be a little weary of junk food mash-ups, but we also are already nostalgic at the end of the L.A. County Fair and our access to all that crazy fair food, including things made with donuts. In this case, we're glad Umami didn't opt to get in the donut burger game.

All SoCal Umami locations have the donut sandwiches on their menus for $6 apiece, and the ice cream comes from L.A. Creamery.

Here are the flavors:

Peanut Butter and Jelly Ice Cream with a Jelly Donut
Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream in a Chocolate Peanut Butter Donut
Cinnamon Toast Ice Cream in a Cinnamon Roll with chocolate chips
