Look At All The Delicious Food You Could Be Eating At Coachella
It’s hard to see and be seen at Coachella (that’s what everyone’s doing there, right?) without sustenance. The combination of the desert sun and a liver filled to the brim with alcohol—and perhaps a sprinkling of designer drugs—can be harsh, but the festival turned it out this year on the gastronomical front to keep us going.
Options ranging from light and refreshing, to heavy and decadent, were available throughout the weekend, with highlights such as chefs Arjun and Nakul Mahedro’s backyard tandoori chicken with sweet radish yogurt kachumber salad, as well as Pig Pen’s mac and cheese burger. As stated, there were enough gourmet cocktails to make your head spin, but in typical Southern California fashion, it was balanced out with heart-healthy elixirs from Juice Served Here.
Week two is coming up, meaning you'll have the opportunity (again) to fill up on these goods. Take note that the "Outstanding In The Field" options will be different, as they're prepared by different chefs each day. See the full list of participating vendors (and check out who's cooking for Outstanding In The Field) here.
Also, scroll through the scrumptious photos at your own risk—LAist is not liable for computers destroyed from drool.
An earlier version of this article did not mention that some items are only available at the VIP Main and VIP Rose Garden areas. Also, we did not mention that the items for Outstanding In The Field are different each day.
At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else. Become a monthly member today to help sustain this mission.
Thank you for your generous support and belief in the value of independent news.
