Canter's Hams it Up With 80-Cent Sammies

We like how Canter's celebrates. In honor of their 80th anniversary, the venerable sandwich institution is offering hot corned beef sandwiches for just 80 cents between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and midnight on Tuesday, July 12. Served on fresh baked rye bread, the meal will also include a homemade pickle and potato salad, according to the deli's Facebook page. Bargain-seeking meat lovers will also be treated to some chocolate rugula for dessert.
Seems to good to be true, but based on our research this deal is 100% kosher. And given the fact that Canter's sandwiches really amount to two, or for the more birdlike among us, three, sammiches, one could say that the restaurant is practically giving it away.
