While perusing around the new stalls at the Grand Central Market, we hopped on over to the Bulgarini gelato cart that was peddling fresh sweet treats right near G & B Coffee. Though we were totally stuffed after shoving Sticky Rice, Horse Thief BBQ, and insanely delicious espresso milkshakes from said coffee shop, we just had to chat up the folks at one of our favorite scooperies.

When asked if the owner Leo was around, the cart's employee spilled the bans that Leo was on his annual trip to Sicily to procure his pistachios, and that he'll be heading home soon to make their annual treat that draws hoards of customers to their Alta Dena store.

The employee said that the pistachio gelato should be ready to serve by the 20th of this month. We'll keep you posted when we hear of an exact date.
