Breakfast, L.A. Street Style: Pancake Tacos from The Eggslut Truck

Sure, you drive through one of the ubiquitous fast food chains in Los Angeles, and emerge with a grease-stained bag of hand-held breakfast, perfect for the morning commute. But how can breakfast get truly served street-style in L.A.? Meet the Pancake Tacos from the Eggslut truck.
Three fluffy buttermilk pancakes are piled with farm-fresh scrambled-on-the spot eggs and chunky bacon crumbles. A side of maple syrup means you can pour on the sweet stuff to your liking, fold it up, and enjoy.
Of course, the Egglsut truck isn't a one-trick motored pony. Their signature dish is the "slut," which is a coddled egg served atop potato puree garnished with chives and grey salt in a glass jar. There's also cheery yellow scrambled eggs dotted with fresh herbs piled on a piece of toast. Breakfast sandwiches are graced with either bacon or sausage and spread with a spicy-sour tomato sauce, and daily specials tantalize from the wipeboard. Prices range from $5 to $8, cash only.
You can follow the Egglsut truck on Twitter to see where they stop, though you can often find them weekday mornings outside the Coffee Commissary and the Lindy & Grundy butcher shop on Fairfax.
