A new walking tour offers an insider's guide to the world-renowned street art and local breweries of the Arts District. SoCal Brew Bus, which offers beer and wine tours across the region, has partnered up with LA Art Tours—one of our favorite unique tour companies—to develop a collaborative tour of the downtown neighborhood beginning in April. Their new Walking Art and Beer Tour in the Arts District will take guests on a guided tour of the extensive murals and colorful graffiti created by local and international artists, while stopping to drink at three breweries along the way. Who doesn't appreciate beautiful art even more with a solid buzz? There's even a great catered lunch from Fritzi included in the tour.

The roughly four-hour weekend tours are co-led by a passionate beer aficionado and a former L.A. graffiti artist, who together offer an exclusive look at the neighborhood's offerings. The tour includes stops at Angel City Brewery, Mumford Brewing and Arts District Brewing, where you'll get to sample flights of beer, get a behind-the-scenes look at the brewery, and learn about what's involved in the brewing process and how to more fully appreciate beer tastings.

SoCal Brew Bus owner Phillip Johnson tells LAist, "In addition to learning about the brewing process, we will be talking about how to taste beer—the styles, ingredients, and flavors of what we try, trying to expose guests to the variety of great craft beer in L.A. right now."

In between breweries, the art guide will introduce guests to stunning works from artists like Bumblebee, Sek, How and Nosm, Risk, Christina Angelina, Syntek, and Kim West. You'll get to learn about the style, technique and cultural context of the murals along the way.
