Folks living east of West Hollywood will now be able to get their cold brew fix at hipster Alfred Coffee + Kitchen in Silver Lake come this Sunday.

There are signature design elements from Alfred Coffee—a popular coffee shop that started out on Melrose Place in West Hollywood and has since expanded to Brentwood—that you'll see at this new Silver Lake location, just across the street from Night + Market Song. There's a neon light with the words "But First, Coffee" centered on the pink-and-black floral wallpaper that wraps around the tiny space. At the entrance to the coffee shop, you're greeted by a wall of black mustaches against a white wall. There are some wooden tables and chairs outside on their patio, which looks perfect for summertime chilling with a cold brew.

LAist stopped by the coffee shop today, which used to house Heywood Grilled Cheese Shop, while they had a short soft opening. They'll be also hosting another soft opening on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where they will serve their coffee brews. What's even more enticing is that Yeastie Boys Bagels will be right outside with their food truck handing out free bagels. Then from Monday going forward, Alfred Coffee will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 365 days a year (yup, that means on Christmas and Thanksgiving Day, too).

Alfred Coffee manager Clyde Wellons tells LAist that they'll be offering their cold brew on nitro, espresso drinks, and kombucha on tap. They'll also have baked goods from Farmshop, and grab-and-go wraps and salads from Cafe Gratitude.

"We're really trying to appeal to the neighborhood," Wellons says. "We're excited to be in Silver Lake, so we really want to make sure the neighborhood loves what we have to offer. The Cafe Gratitude stuff—the vegan and gluten-free optinos—make a great pairing with the Silver Lake area."

Alfred Coffee plans on opening another location in Studio City in the fall, according to their website.
