Ad Hoc Fried Chicken Returns to Bouchon Monday

There are few better things in life than perfectly crispy fried chicken, when it's done right of course.
Leave it to none other than master chef Thomas Keller himself to create the most delicious version of this Southern treat on the West Coast. (If we're talking about the best in the country, our vote is with Willie Mae's Scotch House in New Orleans. We still have dreams about their chicken and butter beans.)
Keller managed to make this dish popular at Ad Hoc up in Yountville, but on the first Monday of each month, the kitchen at Bouchon offers in on the menu.
From 5:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. the team will be busting out buttermilk fried chicken served with two seasonal sides. There are always dessert specials too. You can also order the meal to-go, but the best way to do this is to get in early for Bar Bouchon's happy hour, enjoy a discounted cocktail, and then head up for a relaxing dinner in the stately dining room.
The meal runs $38. You can make your reservations by calling in or visiting their site.
At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else. Become a monthly member today to help sustain this mission.
Thank you for your generous support and belief in the value of independent news.
