Etta James Has Been Hospitalized

Jazz and blues singer Etta James has been hospitalized in Southern California with sepsis and urinary tract infection, reports KCBS. James' son, Sametto James, told The Press-Enterprise newspaper that his mother was admitted to an undisclosed hospital and would remain there for "as long as it takes to clear her infections."
The Washington Post notes that James, who also suffers from lukemia and dementia, was hospitalized for the same problem last year. A sepsis infection can be lethal.
