Win Tickets To See The Shout Out Louds W/ Grand Ole Party At The El Rey

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

Oh those Swedes and their delightful pop melodies. Indie darlings the Shout Out Louds will play their last US date at the El Rey tomorrow night before heading out for extensive tour globetrotting. Opening the show will be San Diego’s Grand Ole Party and their special brew of vocal domination and dashing, funk-rock riffs.

If you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, leave a comment citing your favorite Swedish thing (mine of course is the Muppet Chef). Registered commentors only can win a pair of tickets to this formidable double bill. If you're not registered, sign up, it's free and sleazy.

Contest ends at 2pm on the 19th aka tomorrow afternoon.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
