Wicked Wednesdays at Universal Studios
This summer, Universal Studios has been presenting a special series called Wicked Wednesdays, featuring performers from the hit musical, Wicked. It is a rare opportunity to hear the hit songs performed in an intimate venue. The Wizard and I, Popular, As Long as You're Mine and For Good were sung yesterday by Julie Reiber (in the role of Elphaba) Emily Rozek (in the role of Glinda), and Adam Lambert (Fiyero). The Wizard, John Rubinstein of Pippin fame, was acting as emcee. The performance, which begins promptly at 12:30 pm is preceded by a Wicked karaoke contest and followed by a meet and greet, where the stars pose for photos and sign autographs for fans. An additional feature is Wicked-themed face-painting, which ups the adorability quotient into the stratosphere. The next (and final) Wicked Wednesday will take place on July 25, featuring the "Ozians" who will end the series with an exciting ensemble performance.
