Where To Watch The Super Bowl While Eating Incredibly Well In L.A.

Congress has cut federal funding for public media — a $3.4 million loss for LAist. We count on readers like you to protect our nonprofit newsroom. Become a monthly member and sustain local journalism.

The Super Bowl is happening this Sunday (kickoff is 3:30 p.m. local time), and if you don't already have a seat booked on your favorite couch, you might want to consider heading out to eat, drink and see the Seahawks play the Broncos for the championship.

While there are plenty of bars and restaurants that will have their TVs on and airing the game, a few Los Angeles-area places have come up with some specials to add some cheer to the day, and we've got a few recommendations for spots where watching the Super Bowl is bound to be delicious.

PLAN CHECK

For SuperBowl Sunday, Plan Check Fairfax will offer $1-4 tasting flights — the quarter of the game delineates the price of the flight. They'll also be doing $2 off all drafts, beer cocktails, food specials ($8 each or all three dishes for $21), and free edible swag all day, including Bloody Mary cocktails, Super Bowl chili made with chorizo, fries and "hawk" wings, themed after the team.

DOG HAUS

Dog Haus, which is known for their outlandish dude food and competitive eating contests, will be putting out the Pigskin Burger for Sunday's festivities. It's a creation made of grilled kurobuta pork, pepperjack cheese, smoked bacon, poblano chile aioli, cilantro-lime cabbage and pork cracklings on the Haus signature Kings Hawaiian bun. If that doesn’t create enough of a party in your mouth, Dog Haus is offering all-day happy hour pricing, themed drink specials and 7 flat screens to view the game at the Biergarten location.

Dog Haus Beirgarten is located at 93 E Green St, Pasadena, (626) 683-0808

THE CHURCHILL

The screens will be on the game, but your mind may be on the menu of special sliders, tacos and nachos at The Churchill. The Churchill! The Churchill will have the game on all 6 of their TVs throughout the restaurant both upstairs and downstairs with the sound on (which they normally don't do). They will also be offering a special Super Bowl "inspired" menu from 3 p.m. until the end of the game, including charred shisito peppers cooked in duck fat, wings, hanger steak and fries, crispy pig ears and dip, and pulled pork sliders.

The Churchill is located at 8384 W 3rd St., Los Angeles, (323) 655-8384

BLUDSO'S BAR AND 'QUE

Bludso's La Brea location is hosting an all-you-can-drink Super Bowl Sunday party, offering unlimited beer for $20 during the game. Taking Uber or Lyft is highly recommended, because having access to a tap means you're probably going to walk away tipsy. (But hopefully not so tipsy you pull a Sherman and say something you regret.) The full menu will be available, and they'll also be doing some raffles and giveaways during the breaks. To make it feel even more like home, there are also rumors of Jello shots. The only thing making it better than your house are the 10 TVs, and of course the smell of wafting smoke coming from the kitchen. (We don't care what you say; there's no way you make 'que anywhere near as good as Kevin Bludso.)

Bludso'sis located at 609 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, (323) 931-2583

SCRATCH BAR

Scratch Bar will be hosting an all-you-can-eat viewing party starting at 2:30 p.m. that will include a bottomless keg, too. They'll be whipping up Carolina Pulled Pork Sliders, Southern fried chicken and waffles, bacon wrapped beer braised bratwurst, sweet and spicy chicken wings, and more for the hungry masses. Tickets are priced at $75 per guest, and will be limited to 50 people, so you should call and make reservations ahead of time.

Scratch Bar is located at 111 La Cienega Blvd, Beverly Hills, (310) 289-8010

GOLDEN ROAD BREW PUB

Golden Road's Brew Pub is a great place to watch a game, with plenty of screens for catching the game, great Golden Road brews (made next-door) along with guest taps featuring other delicious beers, and a fun menu that includes a ton of vegan and veggie options. Bike out to burn off your calories if you can. It's a fun ride.

Golden Road Brew Pub is located at 5410 W San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles,(213) 542-6039
