Video: Meet The Treeman Of Venice
There is a man who dresses up like a tree, known as The Treeman. The Treeman will hide in the foliage of Venice, popping out when passersby least expect. His mission: "to get people to see the forest through the trees."
The Treeman is also known as 57-year-old Lionel Powell. You can catch him in his own words via a new, short video from 60 Seconds Docs and Indigenous Media.
If you find yourself fascinated by the Treeman, you can catch him in a slighter longer documentary below.
But don't confuse him the tree monster at Haunted Hayride. That particular beast also jumps out of bushes and trees, but with the sole purpose of scaring the hell out of you.
