Video: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey Discuss Their Upcoming Appearance at the Golden Globes

One year ago, Congress defunded public media. Now that we're 100% community funded, please become a sustaining member or increase your existing membership today.

Amy Poeher and Tina Fey are gearing up to host the 2013 Golden Globes Awards, and so far they've released two videos to promote the event.

First, there was the little ditty in which they attempt to speak in classic Hollywood accents. Now, the ladies are featured in an interview wherein they discuss why they decided to host, what they're looking forward to and how they've been practicing.

"Well, we decided to host because the Golden Globes seem like they're pretty fun," says Poehler.

"Yeah," adds Fey, "we've been to them before, and it's a very kind of sloppy, loud party, and that seemed like our kind of thing."

Poehler notes that she's especially looking forward to meeting Angelina Jolie.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere.
