Interviews with Thu Tran and Sam Mason from IFC's 'Dinner Party' from Thomas Attila Lewis on Vimeo.

Tonight IFC is launching its "Dinner Party" hour which will be every Tuesday starting at 10pm with two back-to-back episodes of Thu Tran's "Food Party", followed at 10:30pm by "Dinner With The Band" hosted by chef Sam Mason. We had the chance to talk to the two hosts about their shows at the IFC kick-off party at Andrew W.K.'s club, Santo's Party House, in NYC a couple weeks ago.

We've been "Food Party" fans for a while after discovering videos of Thu Tran and her technicolor-yawn set and surrealist puppets making mayhem on YouTube. "Food Party" is a completely bizarre and hilarious experience that can scarcely be contained into each 10 or so minute episode but fast and weird is what it's about.

Sam Mason's "Dinner With The Band" caught our eye from the beginning when he brought together amazing bands into his kitchen to prepare cocktails and recipes inspired by their music. This season he will have Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, YACHT, Rufus Wainwright, Andrew W.K., and many more.
