Even TV is on a holiday break. There is "virtually no other new programming happening for at least another week," noted LAist TV Editor Tom Lewis in yesterday's column, which will pick back up next Monday. In the mean time, here are his suggestions for shows tonight: 8:00pm Nova PBS/KCET - What Darwin Never Knew Science breakthroughs link the mystery of origins to the development of the embryo. 9:00pm Dirty Jobs Discovery - Mike learns the messy process of paint bulking, then travels to Pennsylvania to make maple syrup the old-fashioned way. 9:00pm Battleground TCM - (1949) U.S. soldiers (Van Johnson, John Hodiak, Ricardo Montalban) from all over fight in the Battle of the Bulge.
