With all the uproar over MTV's "Jersey Shore" that it's racist, etc. prompting boycotts and key advertisers to pull out, we're wondering what the West Coast equivalent would be? Does "The Hills" qualify? Not really. What series based on a regional demographic do you think would A. Make it to broadcast and B. Generate this kind of attention? Would "East LA Lowriders" ever get airtime or is the very premise racist and if that's racist how is "Jersey Shore" not racist? Your ideas/thoughts please - let's get some MTV production time here, the economy could use it what with all the requisite body waxing, tanning products, and teeth whitening for talent and all the legal representation required for the resulting assault and defamation charge.

Amy Sedaris fans should be aware that she is guest-starring on "The New Adventures of Old Christine" tonight.

Get your soap while you can: CBS is canceling "As The World Turns" after 54 years of airtime. The last episode will air next September.

We saw a lot of complaints on Twitter last night about "TV critics" who gave away the winner of "The Biggest Loser". We'd seen these complaints before regarding other season finales and we'd like to dole out some advice: 1. If there is a show you like watching that you don't want spoiled then turn off Twitter three hours before the show comes on in order to avoid the East Coast spoilers; 2. If you must have Twitter/Facebook on, tell the spoilers to stop spoiling (good luck with that); 3. Stop following spoilers. You can follow us @TheTVJunkie and we promise to never spoil. We may say that a particular show episode or performer is great, or that there is a guest star on (info that regularly appears in the TV Junkie, see above for example) but we won't give away plot lines/winners/etc. - the only exception being if we are covering an event like the Emmys live.
