Death Cab For Cutie is playing tonight at Spaceland, but that early evening show is for KROQ winners and listeners only. But Spaceland will still hold a concert later tonight featuring Rocco DeLuca. Spaceland is also presenting the second night of Zooey Deschanel's She & Him at the Vista Theatre (sold out).

Over on the Westside, a nomad blues from Niger, Etran Finatawa (his name translates to "literally the stars of tradition"), visits the best music venue for world music in the Los Angeles area, the Temple Bar. Joining him is the Masanga Marimba Ensemble, the only Zimbabwean-style Marimba group in Southern California.
