The Next Episode: Dr. Dre to Produce TV Show

Just when you thought Snoop Lion was as real as it gets in the hip-hop world, his former mentor Dr. Dre is taking it to the next level: FX has just inked a deal with the former Death Row Records co-owner to produce a TV show about Los Angeles, seen through the eyes of both the crime world and the music business.
Shit is about to get serious.
TheWrap.com reports that Dre will executive produce the one-hour drama along with Sidney Quashie. Quashie wrote the documentary "The Boston College Fix," and according to what appears to be his LinkedIn page, has written and produced several pilots for NBC/Universal.
No word yet on when writing will begin, or when the show might go on the air.
