Peter Jackson Announces That 'The Hobbit' Has Finished Filming

Lord of the Rings fans, rejoice: Peter Jackson announced on Facebook today that principal photography for "The Hobbit" has wrapped, and the film is now headed to the editing room:
We made it! Shoot day 266 and the end of principal photography on The Hobbit. Thanks to our fantastic cast and crew for getting us this far, and to all of you for your support!
The movie stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, and sees the return of "Lord of the Rings" stars Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood, among others. Like "LOTR," "The Hobbit" was shot in New Zealand.
