She Was Born to Do This
Making her way from Leeds, United Kingdom, to International fame, Corinne Bailey Rae is on the fast track to becoming a soul and blues legend. After all, according to some, “she was born to do this.”
The early 2006 release of her self titled album includes the hits “Like A Star” and “Put Your Records On.” Corinne Bailey Rae, the album and probably the person too, radiates a warm harmonious energy in its own unique way. Each of the 11 tracks reflects Rae’s beauty and creativity, and we just love the way her British accent comes out when she says the word “have” in songs like “Breathless” and “I’d Like To.”
Catch her captivating performance this coming Monday at the House of Blues on Sunset, with other performances by Kevin Devine and Gran Bel Fisher.
