The actor who played Screech on Saved By The Bell was arrested after stabbing a man in a bar fight on Christmas night.Dustin Diamond, 37, faces several charges after being arrested in the city of Port Washington, Wisconsin, where the actor lives now with his fiancee. Diamond told police that he and his fiancee had visited several bars on Christmas evening, and got into an argument with two men and another woman at the Grand Avenue Saloon. At 11:15 p.m., authorities responded to a call about a stabbing at a bar, which is when they caught up with Diamond's car just down the street, according to the AP.

Diamond told police that he accidentally stabbed the man while defending his fiancee, 27-year old Amanda Schutz. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.

According to CNN, Diamond told authorities that he and Schutz were in the process of leaving the bar just before the altercation broke out. Diamond turned around as he was about to close his tab, only to see Schutz bleeding and her hair being held by two men. When he confronted the men, he said he was holding the pen used to sign the credit card receipt and accidentally stabbed one of the men in the confrontation.

Police later found a switchblade almost four inches long in his car, and Diamond later admitted he was armed with the knife. The blade was covered with what may have been blood.

One witness told police that the incident may have started because a woman had been upset that people were taking pictures of her and her companion.

TMZ, of course, was able to obtain footage from shortly before the fight broke out. Diamond can be seen in the video, and a bystander can be overheard saying, "Holy f—, he has a f—ing knife!"

Diamond's life post-Saved By The Bell has been another for the annals of fallen child stars: financial problems, a sex tape, and even a stint on Celebrity Boxing 2.
