At Least One Person Is Reading Arnold Schwarzenegger's Tell-All: Mildred Baena
Despite heavy promotion for Arnold Schwarzenegger tell-all "Total Recall" that included a lengthy segment on "60 Minutes," not many people have actually been all that motivated to pick up the 646-page tome. Sales for the book have been pretty tepid. In the week after the book was released, 21,000 readers have picked up copies of the book, landing it at #3 on the adult nonfiction list, according to CNN.
But we have found at least one of those readers, who just happens to be a key character in the plot: Mildred Baena, his one-time housekeeper and mother to a son that he had while he was still married to Maria Shriver.
Because Baena plays such a key role, of course, we would assume that she would be curious enough to pick up a copy and thumb through it. But we love that she decided to read it in public while sitting in a cafe in Bakersfield. TMZ posted a picture of her reading through the second half of the book.
The gossip site also notes that there were no steamy sex scenes in all of those 646 pages. Here's the exact passage that leaves a lot of key details (which is fine by us):
"Mildred had been working in our household for 5 years and all of the sudden we were alone in the guest house.
When Mildred gave birth the following August, she named the baby Joseph."
