Mayim Bialik in Car Crash, Might Lose Finger [UPDATED]

Mayim Bialik was in a car crash today at Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, resulting in injuries that might cause her to lose a finger. The 36-year-old actress was reportedly driving through the intersection in a white Volvo at about noon when she was hit by a car full of tourists from Chile. According to TMZ, her entire hand was severely damaged, and the finger was almost completely severed.

She was taken to a local hospital where she's being treated.

UPDATE 4:15 PM: We've learned that Bialik is going to remain an eight-fingered, two-thumbed gal, thanks to this Twitter post:
