Madonna Is Now Studying Islam
Madonna is known for her proclivity to study all religions. After picking up Kabbalah in the 1990s, the Material Girl told Harper's Bazaar that she's moved on—she's now a student of Islam.
The Huffington Post reports that Madonna had this to say in a recent interview, regarding where her leanings are taking her next:
I am building schools for girls in Islamic countries and studying the Qur'an. I think it is important to study all the holy books. As my friend Yaman always tells me, a good Muslim is a good Jew, and a good Jew is a good Christian, and so forth. I couldn't agree more. To some people this is a very daring thought.
In the interview, Madge also discusses how she posed nude for art classes in New York when she still trying to get her bearings as a singer, and how she took to England with some difficulty after realizing that "I didn't understand that being openly ambitious was frowned upon."
