Lark Voorhies of 'Saved By The Bell' Has Bipolar Disorder, Her Mom Says
Lark Voorhies, better known as Lisa Turtle on "Saved By The Bell," had us all a little worried when she appeared was almost unrecognizable on a Yahoo! video last month.
The video and follow-up interviews in which Voorhies rambled and mumbled to herself spurred rumors that something was not right with Voorhies. Now her mom tells People magazine that her daughter is battling bipolar disorder.
Tricia Voorhies, who lives in Pasadena with her daughter, said, "There are things that have traumatized her. I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life."
Lark Voorhies, however, brushed off her mother's claims and says she worries too much. Voorhies attributed her rambling interviews to her "strong spiritual sense:" "You caught me in moments of pray [sic]."
