Kristen Bell Proposes To Dax Shepard Now That Gay Marriage Is Legal
Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell was one of the straight celebs who swore she wouldn't tie the knot until gay marriage was legal. Sure enough, on the day that Prop. 8 was struck down, the actress proposed to her baby daddy, Dax Shepard, via Twitter.
.@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove”
— Kristen Bell (@KristenBell) June 26, 2013
Shepard apparently had to think about it (or wake up and log on), but nearly an hour and a half later, he tweeted his acceptance.
DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let's bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!
— dax shepard (@daxshepard) June 26, 2013
The couple's daughter, Lincoln, was born this past March.
Brad Pitt also once said he would wait to tie the knot again until marriage was legal for all, but popped the question to Angelina Jolie long before DOMA was defeated.
