Comedian Katt Williams Arrested For Battery
Comedian Katt Williams was arrested Sunday morning on allegations of battery at the restaurant of a hotel in Studio City.City News Service reports that police were called to the Sportsmen's Lodge around 10:30 a.m. after after an alleged physical altercation took place. An unnamed woman placed Williams under citizen's arrest, and he was booked into jail.
According to TMZ, there are allegations that Williams punched the woman, who is reportedly an employee of the hotel's restaurant, and that police "noticed visible minor injuries" on her.
Williams is currently in custody, with bail set at $20,000. He's charged with misdemeanor battery.
Wiliams has been arrested 13 times since 2006, on charges including burglary, assault, and even child endangerment. In 2014, Williams allegedly threatened someone with a gun at the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, though he later claimed that several Crips were the ones who targeted him. Most recently, Williams was arrested for throwing a salt shaker at an employee of a seafood restaurant in Atlanta.
