We're in the mood for swimming, it seems, and why not? Summer is upon us and a little leisure is good for the soul! From where you can take the plunge in L.A.'s plentiful public pools, to a dive back in time to hotel pools of yesteryear, we're happily all wet. Now California Home & Design has come up with their picks for the "L.A.'s 15 Sexiest Hotel Pools."

Obviously, the nearest big-brand economy hotel chain isn't where it's at when we're talking sexy swimmin' holes. Think swank, well-appointed, and surrounded by beauty (in design, but, hey, the pretty people tend to show up there, too). A few of our favorites on their list: The Hotel Shangri-La, The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Hollywood Roosevelt, and The Viceroy (Santa Monica)...to name a few.

So can we plebes do our laps in luxury, too? The site says mmmmmmaybe: "A number of LA's hot spots offer day passes to their sultry spots for non-guests, but for those that don't, a sexy poolside seat is well worth the cost of a quick weekend stay." Sigh.
