Backstage @ FAME Awards, 7/10/10 (SFW)

Pornstar winners Alexis Texas (Best Ass), Tori Black (Favorite Gonzo Movie), and Lexi Belle (Most Underrated Star) celebrate backstage during the FAME Awards (Koga/LAist)
Last weekend, the fifth annual Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment Awards, co-hosted by Jessica Drake and Sunny Leone, were held during the inaugural edition of eXXXotica Los Angeles at the LA Convention Center. If the AVN and XBIZ Awards are the Oscars and Golden Globes of the adult industry, the FAME Awards are the equivalent to the People's Choice Awards.
Highlights included actors Dale DaBone and Evan Stone reprising their roles from Batman XXX: A Porn Parody as Batman and Riddler -- the film would eventually win Favorite Porn Parody -- as well as several mentions of newly-signed diminutive Wicked Pictures contract girl and Howard Stern Show favorite Lupe Fuentes: "The most memorable quote of the night had to be presenter Kylie Ireland's remark after announcing Lupe Fuentes as the winner in the Favorite Female Rookie category," reported AVN. "'She's a scale model of a real girl,' Ireland cracked as Fuentes took the stage. Then following her speech... jessica drake returned to the podium and quipped of her recently anointed contract sister, 'She's snack size.'" Not to be outdone, when Stone received his Favorite Male Star Award, he quipped, "'Well, I want to thank Jesus, who loves porn.'"

At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else.
