Laverne Cox Cast As Dr. Frank-N-Furter In 'Rocky Horror' Reboot

Hot patootie, bless our souls! FOX will air a Rocky Horror Picture Show revamp next fall, and Laverne Cox will be playing the role of the salacious Dr. Frank-N-Furter!
The Orange is the New Black star has been cast as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in a forthcoming reboot of the cult classic, which just celebrated its 40th birthday. The two-hour show is a "reimagining" of the original, according to a release from FOX.
Kenny Ortega (Hocus Pocus, High School Musical) will direct, executive produce and choreograph, while Lou Adler and Gail Berman have signed on as executive producers.
The original film came out in 1975 and starred Tim Curry as the lascivious doctor.
Cox tweeted her excitement today, hashtagging one of the show's song titles.
