By Zach Bourque / Special to LAist

And here we thought all corporate sponsorship brought us was the Dodgers Slanket: Tailing on the impending release of “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” composer Trent Reznor (as well as corporate giant Sony Pictures) have decided to team up with L.A.’s own Gary Richards (LAist Interview) to sponsor a series of free electronic concerts all around the globe.

Featuring world class acts like Sebastian Ingroso, the Bloody Beetroots and Miike Snow, and taking place in cities as far reaching as London and Stockholm, it’s hard not to appreciate the scope of the campaign.

Dubbed HARD x MOUTH TAPED SHUT, the LA date will feature performances by aforementioned Deadmau5 as well as James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem fame and hyped newcomer Proxy. It will take place Saturday December 17th at the Palladium and should no doubt be one of the most anticipated events of the pre-Holiday weekend.

And now for the Mau5 frownie face… the RSVP list is closed, at least for the time being. It is currently unclear whether or not more spots will open. Interested parties are encouraged to follow HARD on Twitter at @HARDFEST for up to date information. To all those fortunate enough to make the cut, please file this story under #ilovela.

All others please keep locked to LAist for information regarding the impending riot that will undoubtedly ruin any chance of driving on Sunset Boulevard Saturday night.
