Comedian Bill Burr Gives Us A Drive Through the Hollywood Hills
[Note of Warning: Unless you have an extremely liberal workplace environment, you should probably wear headphones while watching this video as there is some strong language and topical matter.]
As a bit of a bonus to get you through Hump Day we'd like you to check out this video of comedian Bill Burr giving us a tour of the Hollywood Hills and Hollywood Boulevard. He's done this with us a couple times before, giving us his incensed and hilarious perspective on his new habitat as a transplant from the East Coast, and there are plenty of absurdities to take issue with, admittedly.
Whether or not you agree with his points, he's so fantastically committed to them, and yet, takes issue with himself, which is key to his comedy. Every week you have a chance to take in a dose of Bill Burr via his Monday Morning Podcast, available on his website and iTunes. We also recommend his latest DVD, "Let It go," recorded live at the Fillmore, which is wonderful.
You can see Burr perform this Saturday at the Kevin & Bean's April Foolishness benefit at the Gibson Ampitheatre. Also on the bill is Doug Benson, Jay Mohr, Jim Jefferies, Jimmy Kimmel, Patton Oswalt, Ray Romano, the Axis of Awesome, and more. He will perform again in the area at the Greg Giraldo Benefit on June 29th at the Wiltern Theatre.
You will also see Burr on TV this year (we can't tell you where yet) as well as at the Tribeca Film Festival at the end of April with his short film, Cheat. Spread the video around, it was our own production, and it was a lot of fun to do, and a privilege to hang out with someone as talented as Burr.

If you want some more great listens, two of our favorite comedians, Bill Burr and Greg Fitzsimmons (whom we interviewed here) are on this week's podcast of FitzDogRadio - very very funny stuff.
As Editor-in-Chief of our newsroom, I’m extremely proud of the work our top-notch journalists are doing here at LAist. We’re doing more hard-hitting watchdog journalism than ever before — powerful reporting on the economy, elections, climate and the homelessness crisis that is making a difference in your lives. At the same time, it’s never been more difficult to maintain a paywall-free, independent news source that informs, inspires, and engages everyone.
Simply put, we cannot do this essential work without your help. Federal funding for public media has been clawed back by Congress and that means LAist has lost $3.4 million in federal funding over the next two years. So we’re asking for your help. LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, press freedom is at the core of keeping our nation free and fair. And as the landscape of free press changes, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust, but the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news from our community.
Please take action today to support your trusted source for local news with a donation that makes sense for your budget.
Thank you for your generous support and believing in independent news.
